SUMMER T&F CAMPS

I know it’s kind of early, but under the ATHLETES section of the site, I have started posting information about summer T&F camps.  Some cater to all events and others are specialized for one event.  Click on the CAMPS link to see what’s available.

RED-WHITE MEET

The annual Red-White meet will be this coming Tuesday (March 18th).  We use this meet to evaluate our progress from the first three weeks of practice and to begin setting up events for the upcoming competitive season.  We will need volunteers to help with concessions, field events, hurdles, clerking, and running the timing system.  If you are interested in helping in any of these areas please let us know.  Thanks.

Parents Association Meeting

The Bridgeport Track & Field Parents Association will be having their annual meeting on Tuesday March 11th in the Bridgeport High School Cafeteria at 7:00pm.  We would like to see all the parents of our middle school and high school athletes in attendence.  We will be discussing many important items including budgets, meet organization, concessions, officer elections, etc.  The coaches will also be there to answer questions you may have about the programs.

Bridgeport Throwers Clinic

The Bridgeport Throwers Clinic featuring Greg Henger will be held on Saturday March 15th at the field.   If the weather is bad that day we will move to the gym.  The clinic is open to all BMS and BHS throwers.  Coach Henger will provide both beginner and advanced instruction.

BIG THANKS

I want to thank everyone who came down on Sunday to the track and helped get things ready.  It was a beautiful day and we had a good turnout with about 30 athletes and parents.  We got a tremendous amount of work done and things are really starting to shape up.  Thanks so much to everyone who was there.
