The CC team has been holding practices at 6:00pm M-F for the 3 week off season period. We will practice today at 6:00pm as well at the City Park Pavillion. On Friday (June 27th) we will be holding the last organized off-season practice starting at 10:30am in the Park at the Pavillion.
In order to continue preparing for the upcoming CC season, it is very important that all of the athletes continue running. We would like for you to work up to 40 miles per week minimum by August 4th ( the first day of Fall practice). That is 8 miles a day if you run 5 days per week, just over 6 1/2 miles per day if you run 6 days a week, and 5 3/4 miles a day if you run 7 days per week. That includes your warmup and cooldown distances. In order to make it easier you can run twice a day to get the appropriate amount of mileage.
Once the season starts, we will most likely break the team up into groups based on your conditioning level. We may have two or three groups depending upon what you do the next 6 weeks. If we want to become the dominant CC team in the area, we need to work to acheive it.
